Internal Doors
I am fully experienced in fitting of replacement internal doors, from cheaper primed doors through to solid oak doors as well as all the hinges, handles and locks you may need. I've tried to give time guides below but you can always contact me for a more accurate quote.
Internal Doors
Internal doors can be relatively straightforward or quite complex things and I would always want to come round and measure up, discuss your needs and then go away and research a quote for you.
I've always said fitting new doors to old frames can be one of the harder jobs to do well. This is because you need to take account of not only the height, width and depth of the door/frame but you also have to take in to account how square the frame is and what the existing handles, hinges and latches are like as well as what you are looking to replace them with. You would be surprised how many doors are not square and are wider at top or bottom. That all needs to be accounted for on the new door as well.
It can vary a lot as to how long it takes to install doors. If they are a standard size, with straightforward fittings then 3 to 4 is possible in a day. If the doors need extra trimming on all sides to make them fit then it could be as little as 2 in a day. If your frame is a particularly unusual size and doors are not readily available in that size then it may need work on the frame as well
I try to explain all of these things when I come round to measure up and that will all be reflected in my estimates of time and cost.
